Introducing Chester Zoo’s all new and fully accessible penguin feeding experience – Penguin Cove!
This brand new purpose-built feeding platform gives you the chance to feed our colony of Humboldt penguins from your own private cabana! Be amazed as they dart and dive through the stunning blue waters of our penguin habitat in search of the fish you throw to them.
One of our expert keepers will be your dedicated guide in Penguin Cove, on hand to share fascinating facts and answer all of your questions about this amazing species. You’ll also leave with an exclusive gift, a personalised certificate and memories to last a lifetime!
Maximum of 2 people. Suitable for ages 5+
Your experience will last approximately one hour with 20 unforgettable minutes on the Penguin Cove feeding platform which is fully accessible for wheelchair users
As well as the opportunity to learn about these fascinating animals and ask our keepers any questions you may have, your experience includes your zoo admission, an exclusive gift on the day and experience certificate.

Booking the Penguin Cove Experience includes zoo admission for the participant only.
This experience is available for adults, and children over the age of 5 years old. Children between the ages of 5-15 must be accompanied by a spectating adult.
Regrettably certain guests will be unable to take part including people with relevant phobias or known allergies; and immunocompromised individuals.
This brand new experience has been developed with accessibility in mind, meaning that every effort is made to accommodate those with a disability or learning difficulty. However, due to practicality and health and safety this cannot always be achieved, please contact our Experiences Team before purchasing for further questions.
This experience is suitable for guests who are wheelchair users, but please let us know if you have any additional requirements so that we can tailor the experience to meet your needs.
Maximum of 2 participants per experience.
The experience will last up to an hour in total, but some of this will be time spent getting across the zoo. There will be a minimum of 20 minutes spent inside the Penguin Cove with the penguin keeper.
Available all year, but may be limited during periods of avian influenza prevention measures.
